Richard III Society AGM 2001 Events Schedule Friday, September 28 2:00-5:00 pm Optional Longhorn Trolley Tour to the Fort Worth Stockyards; Billy Bob's Texas Cowtown Coliseum; Fort Worth Longhorn Cattle Herd, Livestock Exchange Building, Stockyards Station, Tarantula Train and White Elephant Saloon. Trolley fare is $2 each way, $1 for seniors. If your stay at another location is less than one hour, you will get a transfer back to the hotel at no charge. The Stockyards area is the oldest part of Fort Worth, and offers a fascinating glimpse into the old west, when the city was an important stop on the Old ChisoIm Trail, and the Swift Packing Piant the city's main industry. Or: Kimbell Art Museum For those who prefer a different view, the world-famous Kimbell Museum, designed by Louis Kahn, has a marvelous collection of masterpieces from around the world. Since we are a non-profit organization, sales tax for the rooms will be waived. Toll-Free Number: l-800-468-3571. When making your reservation be sure to indicate you are with the Richard III Society, and give the dates. If you wish to come before September 28 or stay after September 29, ask the hotel reservation clerk if the same rates will apply, as the hotel cannot confirm this at the present time. You will need to reserve before September 10 for a guaranteed room. Renaissance Worthington Hotel The hotel has no airport shuttle. Attendees flying into DFW Airport can take the Fort Worth Airporter bus, which stops at the Worthington. Driving: Dallas/Fort Worth - DFW (19 mi SW) South Exit from Airport. Take Fort Worth 183 turn off, traveling West on 183. 183 wiU turn into 121. Near downtown, 121 turns into Belknap. The third stoplight is Houston Street, turn left.
