The Great Chamber

Viewed from the foundations of the west range, the large fifteenth-century window to the Great Chamber on the first floor of the keep (west), and -- visible through the window opening -- the western floor wall of the additional chamber or clerestory on the second storey level, possibly added in the fifteenth century by Richard as duke of Gloucester, with large window opening. Compare the view of these windows from the observation platform to the east.
