	The Keep -- Kitchen Standing in the doorway at the southern end of the spine wall of the keep, the viewer looks past a well and fish tank to a window on the west side of the kitchen. Unlike the cellar below the Great Hall, the kitchen had seven windows: one on the south, one on the north, and five on the west wall. This undoubtedly reflects the need for greater lighting and ventilation in a food preparation area. A large fireplace along the spine wall just next to this doorway offered a cooking space.
