Great
Hall -- Oak Beams.
Because of the precarious condition of this part of the building, some creative
behind-the-scenes restoration work was necessary to return the Hall to its
fifteenth-century splendor. Some of the beams in the Hall are twentieth-century
oak constructed to fifteenth-century standards. This wall, above the glassed-in
screens passage, shows the original beams.
