Bridge over Ashby Canal
The Ashby Canal passes to the west and south of the Battlefield Visitor Centre. A former double-track railroad-right-of-way, with this bridge over the canal, provides the visitor with the opportunity for a contemplative walk during or after a tour of the battlefield. The canal path continues to Sutton Cheney Wharf, on the road from Sutton Cheney to Dadlington, where boats are available for hire and guided boat tours available during the tourist season. King Richard's Field is accessible via the canal
