Kristin Scott-Thomas:
Lady Anne


Kristin Scott-Thomas, winner of a BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actress and an Evening Standard Award for Best Actress for her performance as Fiona in FOUR WEDDINGS & A FUNERAL, starred in two films screening in competition at this year's Cannes Film Festival, ANGELS & INSECTS and Robert LePage's CONFESSIONAL.

She recently completed work as Tom Cruise's sidekick in MISSION IMPOSSIBLE and after RICHARD III, she joins Ralph Fiennes, Juliette Binoche and Willem Defoe in Anthony Minghella's film of THE ENGLISH PATIENT.

Scott-Thomas studied drama at the Paris Conservatory of Dramatic Art and at London's Central School of Speech and Drama and shares her acting career between French and British productions.

In 1985 she made her stage debut in the Marguerite Duras play, YES, PEUT-ETRE, directed by Marcel Bozonnet and her film debut in UNDER THE CHERRY MOON, with Prince. In 1987 she appeared with established French stars Catherine Deneuve and Richard Bohringer in Jean-Pierre Mocky's AGENT TROUBLE.

In 1988 Scott-Thomas won the Evening Standard's Award for Most Promising Newcomer for her role as Lady Brenda in Charles Sturridge's A HANDFUL OF DUST and her performance in Carlo Cotti's BILLE EN TETE, brought her awards from the Europacinema Festival and the Cabourg Festival (France).

Scott-Thomas's French film credits include Pierre Jolivet's FORCE MAJEURE, Marie-France Pisier's LE BAL DU GOUVERNEUR, Eric Rochant's AUX YEUX DU MONDE, Roman Polanski's BITTER MOON and Lucien Pintillie's UNE ETE INOUBLIABLE, filmed in Rumania.

In 1993 she won an award from the Chicago Film Festival for her role in the six part TV series, BODY & SOUL, produced by Red Rooster for Carlton, in which she played a nun who leaves the convent to help her family run a business.

Her television credits include LOOK AT IT THIS WAY, directed by Gavin Millar, John Mortimer's TITMUS REGAINED, THE TENTH MAN with Anthony Hopkins, a Hallmark Hall of Fame production, directed by Jack Gold for CBS and LA BELLE EPOQUE directed by Gavin Millar from a screenplay by Francois Truffaut.

She recently completed work on GULLIVER'S TRAVELS, with Ted Danson for NBC.
