9th Oct 2016 The North Mercia Group has produced a Richard III Calendar for 2017, containing a photo and a list of dates in Richard’s life for each month and a calendar grid for each month – an overall view of 2017 – a Moon phase calendar and a chronology of the Battles of the Wars of the Roses and a list of all the main participants. 9th Oct 2016 A Memorandum of Undertaking (MoU 1 &2) agreement with the University of Leicester regarding the appropriate use of the images of King Richard’s remains has been obtained. This came about because of the concern expressed following the discovery of a University tee shirt with a photograph of the King’s skull and following this the graphic artwork by Alexander de Cadnet, using a radiograph, or x-ray image of the same.
9th Oct 2016 Kit Harrington gets an HONORARY MEMBERSHIP OF THE SOCIETY. Actor Kit Harington (Jon Snow in ‘Game of Thrones’) is a descendent of one of Richard III’s closest friends and has expressed an interest in Richard III. The Society has given him three years honorary membership in the hope that he will be a staunch ally attracting further people to Richard’s cause.
2nd Oct 2016 Legendary 10 Seconds were on local radio in Exeter playing 2 songs (one about the battle of Towton and the other about Barnet). Musician Ian was talking about Richard III and his music.

20 Mar 2014 At the Royal Television Society Programme Awards for 2013, held 18thMarch at London’s Grosvenor Park Hotel, the Darlow Smithson’s documentary ‘Richard III: King in the Car Park’ for Channel 4, won in the ‘History category’. “The winning programme created headlines around the world, and vividly portrayed the application of forensic science to a major historical mystery. It was presented with huge gusto, authority and sense of event.”
