Charles T. Wood, 1933-2004

The Congregatio de Silvescendo sadly reports that Charles T. Wood, professor emeritus of history at Dartmouth College, learned and astute scholar, effervescent and inspiring teacher, dear friend, and the kindest man of great wit, died unexpectedly during the night of February 11, 2004. A memorial service was held on the Dartmouth campus Saturday, February 28, 2004, 2:00 p.m. in Rollins Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Charles T. Wood Memorial Fund, c/o Donor Relations, 6066 Development Office, Dartmouth College, Hanover NH 03755. If you wish to write the family, the address is 7 North Balch Road, Hanover, NH 03755-1502.

Friends and former students of Charlie's are also encouraged to write stories and recollections of him for the memorial e-book, which will then be donated to the Dartmouth archives.
