T. Wood, 1933-2004
The
Congregatio de Silvescendo sadly reports that Charles T. Wood, professor
emeritus of history at Dartmouth College, learned and astute scholar,
effervescent and inspiring teacher, dear friend, and the kindest man of
great wit, died unexpectedly during the night of February 11, 2004. A
memorial service was held on the Dartmouth campus Saturday, February 28,
2004, 2:00 p.m. in Rollins Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may
be sent to the Charles T. Wood Memorial Fund, c/o Donor Relations, 6066
Development Office, Dartmouth College, Hanover NH 03755. If you wish to
write the family, the address is 7 North Balch Road, Hanover, NH 03755-1502.
Friends
and former students of Charlie's are also encouraged to write stories
and recollections of him for the memorial e-book, which will then be donated
to the Dartmouth archives.
